The Softstart BTI delivery model
The Softstart BTI incubation model incorporates virtual incubation, early-start incubation and full tenancy incubation in order to assist SMMEs in various phases of development, as depicted below:
Key services, as depicted, include business and technology mentoring and coaching, furnished “plug and play” office space in a secure environment, shared resources such as reception and meeting facilities, internet access, access to professional service providers, networking opportunities and access to business and skills development interventions, such as training in functional business disciplines.

These services assist entrepreneurs to grow sustainable businesses by:
By supplying furnished, “Plug & Play” offices in a secure environment, an image of professionalism, permanency and credibility is created, whilst allowing entrepreneurs to allocate their scarce capital to the development of products and markets - issues that will truly help an idea reach its full potential.
By allowing entrepreneurs to share recurring costs like a reception, Internet connection, meeting rooms, conferencing facilities, video projectors, etc., the lowering of the venture’s burn rate helps increase return and lowers capital investment requirements.
Returns are brought forward in time and reduced investment is required through mentoring in the strategy and practice of growing a sustainable ICT business.
